Probate records are located in the office of the clerk of the county court. These records may include wills, estate records, guardianships, bonds, and probate books. Although adoption records are located in this office, they are closed to the public. Some counties have their probate records on file at the Nebraska State Historical Society, and microfilm copies of many are at the FHL.
