Monterey is a county in California. It was formed in 1850 from the following county/ies: original. Monterey began keeping birth records in 1824, marriage records in 1887, and death records in 1887. It began keeping land records in 1850*, probate records in 1850, and court records in 1850. For more information, contact the county at 240 Church St, Salinas 93901-2695.
