Jefferson is a county in Indiana. It was formed in 1811 from the following county/ies: Clark/Dearborn/Knox. Jefferson began keeping birth records in 1882, marriage records in 1811, and death records in 1882. It began keeping land records in 1811, probate records in 1811, and court records in 1811.
