Iron is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1885 from the following county/ies: Marquette/Menominee. Iron began keeping birth records in 1895, marriage records in 1895, and death records in 1895. It began keeping land records in 1855, probate records in 1886, and court records in 1895. For more information, contact the county at 2 S. Sixth St., Crystal Falls 49920-1435.
