Records, except bankruptcy cases, of the federal district courts of the United States for the state of Indiana have been transferred to the National Archives'Great Lakes Region. These include the Northern District (1879'1959), encompassing the divisions of Hammond, Ft. Wayne, South Bend, and the Southern District (1819'1959), with the divisions of Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Evansville, and New Albany.
