THE NILES FAMILY TREE

The Niles name can be traced back to England where the original spelling is Nyle. William Nyle married Elizabeth Payne and had a son, John. They came to Massachusetts some time after John was born in 1537 in Dorset, England. The name was changed to the 'Niles' in the states where they resided in Braintree, Norfolk Massachusetts. John married Johane Paviot and the Niles' tree began in the United States.
