Harlan is a county in Kentucky. It was formed in 1819 from the following county/ies: Knox. Harlan began keeping birth records in 1852, marriage records in 1820, and death records in 1852. It began keeping land records in 1820, probate records in 1829, and court records in 1821. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 670, Harlan 40831-0670.
