Halifax is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1758 from the following county/ies: Edgecombe. Halifax began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1770, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1716, probate records in 1759, and court records in 1759.
