Granite is a county in Montana. It was formed in 1893 from the following county/ies: Deer Lodge. Granite began keeping birth records in 1895, marriage records in 1892, and death records in 1895. It began keeping land records in 1893, probate records in 1893, and court records in 1893. For more information, contact the county at 220 N. Sansome/P.O. Box 925, Philipsburg 59858-0925. On the attached map, Granite is located at B4. Land was added from Missoula County in 1943.
