George J. Nixon is a native of Grants Pass, Oregon. He has been a professional genealogist and resident of Salt Lake City since 1976. He has a degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles. He specializes in Native American research and also in U.S. and Canadian research.
He co-authored the "Native American Research" chapter of The Source: A Guidebook to American Genealogy with Curt B. Witcher.
