Genesee is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1835 (1836) from the following county/ies: Lapeer/Saginaw/Shiawassee *Oakland. Genesee began keeping birth records in 1867, marriage records in 1867, and death records in 1867. It began keeping land records in 1819, probate records in 1836, and court records in 1835.
