Frederick is a county in Maryland. It was formed in 1748 from the following county/ies: Baltimore/ Prince George's. The first land deed in Frederick was recorded in 1748. Orphan Court records begin in 1751. For more information, contact the circuit county clerk at 100 W. Patrick St., Frederick 21701. On the attached map, Frederick is located at E2. There were two major fires, but no major loss of records.
