Fayette is a county in Indiana. It was formed in 1819 from the following county/ies: Franklin/Wayne/unorganized. Fayette began keeping birth records in 1883, marriage records in 1819, and death records in 1829. It began keeping land records in 1816, probate records in 1819, and court records in 1819.
