Elkhart is a county in Indiana. It was formed in 1830 from the following county/ies: unorganized (Cass/Allen). Elkhart began keeping birth records in 1882, marriage records in 1830, and death records in 1882. It began keeping land records in 1831, probate records in 1830, and court records in 1830.
