Dent is a county in Missouri. It was formed in 1851 from the following county/ies: Crawford/Shannon. Dent began keeping birth records in 1883'84, marriage records in 1851, and death records in 1883'84. It began keeping land records in 1851 (1866), probate records in 1866, and court records in 1866. For more information, contact the county at 400 N. Main Salem 65560. On the attached map, Dent is located at F6. Courthouse burned during Civil War and 1866; earlier deeds recreated.
