Clay is a county in Indiana. It was formed in 1825 from the following county/ies: Owen/Putnam/Vigo/Sullivan. Clay began keeping birth records in 1881, marriage records in 1851, and death records in 1882. It began keeping land records in 1825, probate records in 1873, and court records in .
