Chippewa is a county in Wisconsin. It was formed in 1845 from Crawford County. Chippewa began keeping birth records in 1858, marriage records in 1854, and death records in 1855. It began keeping land records in 1854, probate records in 1856, and court records in 1856. For more information, contact the county at 711 N. Bridge St., Chippewa Falls 54729.
