For census purposes, the counties of Carson, Humboldt, and St. Mary's were in Utah Territory in 1860. All of the Nevada federal censuses through 1910 are available on microfilm in the Nevada State Library, the Nevada Historical Society, and the Las Vegas Family History Center (FHC).
The mortality, industry (1870, 1880), and agriculture (1870) schedules are located at the Nevada Historical Society. The Nevada State Library has the 1880 agriculture schedule and a typescript of the 1870 mortality schedule, which is indexed. AISI publishes indexes to all the population and mortality schedules (see pages 3-4).
Territorial and State
The Nevada State Library and Archives has a partial census for the territory for 1862 and 1863; there is a full one available for 1875. The 1875 census includes all members of the household and is published in the Appendix to Journals of Senate and Assembly, of the Eighth Session of the Legislature of the State of Nevada, 1877 (vols. 2 and 3) and the microfiche index. These are available in the Las Vegas FHC as well.
