Violet Springs, Oklahoma This small town was created as a result of the Land Run. It was located at the very edge of Indian Territory and only existed a few short years. When the railroad was located in nearby Konawa, Oklahoma it "dried up". There were eight or more saloons in Violet Springs and gunfights were an almost daily occurance. It was truly part of the wild west. Violet Springs was one of many Oklahoma ghost towns and no longer exists.
