Burke is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1777 from the following county/ies: Rowan. Burke began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1780, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1770, probate records in 1776, and court records in 1755. For more information, contact the county at 200 Avery Ave., Morganton 28655-3103.
