Blackford is a county in Indiana. It was formed in 1838 (1839) from the following county/ies: Jay. Blackford began keeping birth records in 1882, marriage records in 1839, and death records in 1836. It began keeping land records in 1836, probate records in 1839, and court records in 1839. For more information, contact the county at 110 W. Washington St., Hartford City 47348 .
