Bertie is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1722 from the following county/ies: Chowan Precinct, Albemarle County. Bertie began keeping birth records in , marriage records in 1762, and death records in . It began keeping land records in 1721, probate records in 1728, and court records in 1724.
