Berkeley is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1882 from the following county/ies or district/s: Charleston. Berkeley began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1883, probate records in 1883, and court records in 1881.
