Bastrop is a county in Texas. It was formed in 1836 (organized 1837) from the following county/ies: original county; Old Mexican Municipality. Bastrop began keeping birth records in 1903, marriage records in 1851, and death records in 1903. It began keeping land records in 1837, probate records in 1837, and court records in 1837.
