Need help keying this project?

Project Instructions
This collection contains lists of people who lived in the Lódz Ghetto. From these lists we are keying a person's name, birth date, religion, ethnicity, previous address and new address.

If you come across any names or words with international characters, these international characters will need to be entered as they appear. To enter an international character click the international characters icon located in the menu bar just above the form where data is entered (it looks like an ñ). This will bring up an international characters window. Insert the international character by double-clicking on the letter.

The religion will typically be "mos." It will appear written out for the first person on the image, with ditto marks down the rest of the page for all other individuals. "Mos" should be keyed in the religion field for all records on the page. The same applies to the ethnicity, which will typically be "Jude."

If you come across an image with "Protokoll Nr. Protokol" at the top in bold lettering, choose the "Cover page" form type. These will be keyed at a later date.
