Wexford is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1840 (1869) (as Kautawaubet;renamed 1843) from the following county/ies: Mackinac *Manistee/*Grand Traverse/*Wexford. Wexford began keeping birth records in 1867, marriage records in 1864, and death records in 1867. It began keeping land records in 1869, probate records in 1869, and court records in 1869.
