Wapello is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1843 (1844) from the following county/ies: unorganized (Henry)/ *Jefferson. Wapello began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1844, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1844, probate records in 1844, and court records in 1844.
