I understand that the Pennsylvania State Archives has contracted with Ancestry.com to make birth (1906-7) and death (1906-1961) records available online, as a result of the Vital Records law passed in late 2011. The project supposedly started in August 2012 and has been progressing year by year, but no word on partial release of the collection. According to the Archives website, the scanning is into the 1930s. The project was supposed to take 18 months.

Any idea when something might be available on Ancestry.com?
