Suffolk is a county in Massachusetts. It was formed in 1643 from the following county/ies: original. It began keeping land records in 1639, probate records in 1636, and court records in 1671. For more information, contact the county at 24 New Chardon St., P.O. Box 9660, Boston,02114. On the attached map, Suffolk is located at H3. In 1793 all that was Suffold County except Boston, Chelsea, Hingham, and Hull became Norfolk County.
