The society has preserved and restored historical buildings from the 1600s. It offers students and researchers access to an exceptional library containing documents, published works, microfilm, maps, and illustrative material. The research library is located a 6 Aviles Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Their online catalog includes the book collection, manuscript finding aids, the map and photographic collections, El Escribano: The St. Augustine Journal of History and the Society's newsletter the East Florida Gazette. Contact the research library for information on ordering copies.
