Shelby is a county in Tennessee. It was formed in 1819 from the following county/ies: Indian lands, Hardin. Shelby began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1819, and death records in 1848. It began keeping land records in 1821, probate records in 1824, and court records in 1820.
