Pottawattomie is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1848 from the following county/ies: unorganized (Dallas/Mahaska/Monroe/Polk). Pottawattomie began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1848, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1849, probate records in 1846, and court records in 1876.
