Placer is a county in California. It was formed in 1851 from the following county/ies: Yuba/Sutter. Placer began keeping birth records in 1873, marriage records in 1851, and death records in 1873. It began keeping land records in 1851, probate records in 1850, and court records in 1852. For more information, contact the county at 175 Fulweiler Ave, Auburn 95603-4543. On the attached map, Placer is located at B8. Land was added from El Dorado County in 1913.
