Payne is a county in Oklahoma. It was formed in 1890 from the following county/ies: Cherokee Outlet/unassigned lands. Payne began keeping birth records in 1876, marriage records in 1894, and death records in 1876. It began keeping land records in 1884, probate records in 1889, and court records in 1895.
