Ozark is a county in Missouri. It was formed in 1841 (renamed Decatur, 1843; renamed Ozark, 1845) from the following county/ies: Taney. Ozark began keeping birth records in 1884'90, marriage records in 1858, and death records in 1887'89. It began keeping land records in 1858, probate records in 1865, and court records in 1858. For more information, contact the county at Gainesville 65655. On the attached map, Ozark is located at H4. Courthouse burned 1858 or 1859, 1865, 1934, and 1937.
