Semi-annual state meetings are held. The society publishes a newsletter of current events and news, and The New Hampshire Genealogical Record, a journal of scholarly articles, compiled genealogies, and abstracts of records. Among its current projects, the society is attempting to document genealogies of all families in the 1790 census (similar to Maine Families in 1790 and Vermont Families in 1790). In addition, a family register for all individuals and families known to have lived in New Hampshire before 1901 is maintained by the society. Inquiries concerning the family register can be sent by mail or e-mail from the website.
