Many published and unpublished family histories and biographical accounts of Nebraskans in various formats are included. The website has extensive links to resources for the state.

The society's collection includes special indexes, obituaries, and materials relating to Germans from Russia.

There are currently over forty-six genealogical societies and 150 historical societies operating in Nebraska.
