Mountrail is a county in North Dakota. It was formed in 1873 from the following county/ies: Buffalo. Mountrail began keeping birth records in , marriage records in 1909, and death records in . It began keeping land records in 1909, probate records in 1909, and court records in 1909. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 69 Stanley 58784. On the attached map, Mountrail is located at C2. In 1891 Mountrail was attached to Ward; in 1892 it was abolished and became part of Ward; in 1909 it was re-created from Ward.
