Mississippi Tax Records
This entry was originally written by Kathleen Stanton Hutchison for Red Book: American State, County, and Town Sources.

Microfilm copies of the earlier records are found in the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, where the collection is extensive but nevertheless has gaps. Some counties, though not many, have published selected years of tax rolls.
