Merced is a county in California. It was formed in 1855 from the following county/ies: Mariposa/Merced/Tulare. Merced began keeping birth records in 1873, marriage records in 1855, and death records in 1889. It began keeping land records in 1856, probate records in 1855, and court records in 1855.
