Meigs is a county in Tennessee. It was formed in 1836 from the following county/ies: Rhea/Cherokee lands. Meigs began keeping birth records in 1909, marriage records in 1838, and death records in 1909. It began keeping land records in 1835, probate records in 1836, and court records in 1836.
