Madison is a county in Alabama. It was formed in 1808 from the following county/ies: Cherokee and Chickasaw Cession. Madison began keeping birth records in 1881, marriage records in 1809, and death records in 1881. It began keeping land records in 1810, probate records in 1818, and court records in 1820.
