Lancaster is a county in Virginia. It was formed in 1651 from the following county/ies: York/Northumberland. Lancaster began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1701, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1652, probate records in 1651, and court records in 1652.
