La Porte is a county in Indiana. It was formed in 1832 from the following county/ies: St. Joseph/unorganized. La Porte began keeping birth records in 1882, marriage records in 1832, and death records in 1882. It began keeping land records in 1831, probate records in 1832, and court records in 1832.
