Kitsap is a county in Washington. It was formed in 1857 from the following county/ies: (as Slaughter; renamed 1857) King/Jefferson. Kitsap began keeping birth records in 1891, marriage records in 1860, and death records in 1891. It began keeping land records in 1857, probate records in 1861, and court records in 1888.
