Johnson is a county in West Virginia. It was created 1875 (as Pease; renamed 1879), organized 1877 from the following county/ies: Carbon/Sweetwater. Johnson began keeping marriage records in 1881. It began keeping land records in 1881, probate records in 1885, and court records in 1881. For more information, contact the county at 76 N. Main St., Buffalo 82834-1847 .
