Jackson is a county in Tennessee. It was formed in 1801 from the following county/ies: Smith/Indian lands. Jackson began keeping birth records in 1881, marriage records in 1870, and death records in 1881. It began keeping land records in 1817, probate records in 1839, and court records in 1839.
