Humboldt is a county in California. It was formed in 1853 from the following county/ies: Trinity. Humboldt began keeping birth records in 1873, marriage records in 1864, and death records in 1873. It began keeping land records in 1874, probate records in 1853, and court records in 1853. For more information, contact the county at 825 Fifth St, Eureka 95501-1153. On the attached map, Humboldt is located at A1. Land was later added from counties Mendocino (1860), Klamath (1875), and Del Norte (1901) .
