Holmes is a county in Ohio. It was formed in 1824 (1825) from the following county/ies: Coshocton/Tuscarawas/Wayne. Holmes began keeping birth records in 1867, marriage records in 1821, and death records in 1867. It began keeping land records in 1808, probate records in 1825, and court records in 1825.
