Hawkins is a county in Tennessee. It was formed in 1785(as Spencer; renamed, 1786) from the following county/ies: Sullivan . Hawkins began keeping birth records in 1914, marriage records in 1820, and death records in 1914. It began keeping land records in 1787, probate records in 1786, and court records in 1810.
